Original hand-made accessories

I love accessories and especially love wearing something nobody else has! Interesting jewellery can boost or even transform your look in seconds. Sometimes, when I have ‘nothing to wear’ day, it is the only saviour. A couple of eye-catching pieces and I’m good to go!

My friend Modesta started making jewellery a few months ago and, after I’d finally seen it, I was amazed how good it was! I love her idea of incorporating little sculls into earrings and bracelets. All of her pieces are different and resemble a good taste.

And thank you, Modesta, for giving me a pair of your amazing white scull earrings and a few others!! xx

My little world of inspiration…

I have decided to share some images of a few things that brighten up my day and make me smile 🙂 Sometimes you just need some retro sunnies or ghetto gold earrings to set you up for the day and give a little confidence boost. That’s just how we, girls, rule! I know we don’t always want to admit this, but we all have a few things that we turn to when we don’t feel that confident, or there is something important we have to do, or we are scared (that job interview, huh?), or we just need to look our best and no mistakes can be made. Or maybe we just spent an hour trying to decide our outfit and it still just doesn’t feel right, but we know that we have that one piece of jewellery that can make things look just right.

Well, anyway, here are a few things that make my fashion fix, inspire me and make me feel  happier 🙂

My two pairs of Sunnies!!

The top one is from Camden Market and it just goes with everything, and the second one was in a Company’s goodie bag and is totally adorable in it’s purple frames!

Folli Follie: colours and fun!

IMG_1973

Last week me and my friend Joana from Grow in Fasion  went to the event at theFolli Follie store in Regent Street (in association with Company magazine) and we had a good old girly time. First of all, the store and its merchandises were just beautiful… We could not stop gawking at the amazing jewellery (our mutual favourite was cuff bracelet) and watches. And let me tell you something about the bags… They were truly amazing. Yes,  it is as simple as that. I could not take my eyes off of the yellow tote bag and a blue one from the K Vintage collection. The most important thing was the obvious quality of the bags and everything around us.

Shoreditch Vintage Fair

Saturday afternoon I went to see Schoreditch Vintage Fair with another blogger Joana (Grow in Fashion). Everyone loves a bit of vintage, right? So we went there to look, buy and drink some tea (yes, old, good and very English tea!).

The fair was not huge but it seemed like the best pieces of vintage were under one roof. Old denim, customised Levi’s, printed dresses, 70s clothing, Great Gatsby wardrobe and lots of vintage ‘bling’ brought us back in time and let us feel that old and sometimes forgotten elegance and beauty.

I was obsessed about the jewellery I found! Amazing and unique vintage rings, earrings, bracelets and necklaces can really make a difference to anyone’s wardrobe and you can be sure you won’t find a bunch of people wearing the same stuff when walking down the Oxford Street.

My other favourite thing was the amount of sunglasses representing different decades. You could find anything between 70s Hollywood glamour shades to white and black Mickey Mouse sunnies famously worn by Lady Gaga. There was also a Lipstick & Curls service ready to transform any girl into a vintage diva.

The real star of the day! Everybody couldn’t get enough of this little ‘vintage fan’ and he was obviously enjoying the attention!

After we finished browsing the racks of clothes and ‘ooohhhhing’ and ‘ahhhhing’ over the accessories, we went to look for the promised tea served in the vintage china. When we went into the room we saw this…

OMG! Is this Heaven?! We wanted everything and, as you can probably guess, it’s pretty much impossible to resist.. and it didn’t disappoint.. If you are not the biggest fan of vintage, these cakes are the reason alone to come to this fair! Yammm…
