Regent Tweet 2013 experience

You are probably wondering, what on earth is Regent Tweet? I didn’t know either, until I got an invitation on Twitter. It sounded like an interesting blogging event and so I registered.

I didn’t really realised what Regent Tweet was going to be like until I actually got there early yesterday morning. The registration  was at the Living Room at W1 where we were given pink regent Tweet bracelets (see below), a bag and a big pile of cards that, as I found out from a French blogger I met at the queue, were supposed to be used for picking up the goodie bags, participating at the competitions etc. The whole actions was taking place all over Regent Street and it was fun bumping at the same people again and again and seeing all of us stumbling down the street with the growing amount of goodie bags from the participating stores. We created a big tweeting and social media buzz as everybody were tweeting pictures of their favourite items from the stores and sharing their experiences of the day.

The bloggers were also invited to the complimentary lunch at Mash and, I have to say, I loved the steak and a glass of wine! It was a perfect break and a chance to socialise with other bloggers.

After I was done with my final visitings of the stores, I went for a complimentary cocktail at the Courthouse Hotel!

It was a great day and I’m saying a BIG THANK YOU to Regent Street and Regent Tweet for letting me experience all of this! Hopefully, I’ll be there next year too!

Folli Follie: colours and fun!

IMG_1973

Last week me and my friend Joana from Grow in Fasion  went to the event at theFolli Follie store in Regent Street (in association with Company magazine) and we had a good old girly time. First of all, the store and its merchandises were just beautiful… We could not stop gawking at the amazing jewellery (our mutual favourite was cuff bracelet) and watches. And let me tell you something about the bags… They were truly amazing. Yes,  it is as simple as that. I could not take my eyes off of the yellow tote bag and a blue one from the K Vintage collection. The most important thing was the obvious quality of the bags and everything around us.

New cool shopping gem in London

So, finally, the day had come! We have a new and hip shopping place to visit! Yey! (We can never have enough of those, right??) & Other Stories, a new label under the H&M‘s umbrella, opened the doors in Regent Street on Friday

The first thing that caught my attention was the design of the store. It felt quite sophisticated but creative at the same time. Quite minimalistic interior design, with a dominating white colour and many wooden as well as glass elements. Huge white staircase in the middle of the store creates kind of a classy feeling which makes our shopping even more enjoyable. And you can’t help but notice stage lights attached to the ceiling across the whole store. Anybody said ‘Cool’?

A few hours after official opening, the two-floor shop was buzzing with stylish fashionistas and, I had a feeling, there were some important fashion people wondering around and judging a new shopping gem too.

OK, so what is this new shop about?

It is something between East London meets modern classic meets new season trends. But it’s really about mixing and matching different pieces and creating your own unique look. Modern cuts and unusual garments differentiate & Other Stories from other high-street stores. I was particularly impressed with an edgy jewellery designs and footwear. Mostly In metallic or black colours, the shoes have the most creative designs I have ever seen (pictures below). East London hipsters will have a place to shop in Central London for sure. And let’s not forget a huge amount of make-up and beauty products available. The prices are also affordable for all of us who can’t really stock up on Chanel just yet..

So let’s get shopping!
