Boho chick in collaboration with Jara Wine

Jara Wine is a women’s wear designer from London, who creates fresh, versatile, and contemporary clothing focusing on colours, textiles and individuality. Her dresses have smart as well as fun feel about them and can be easily worn on many different occasions. Also, all clothes are made in the UK.

Jara asked me to style some of her designs for the shoot so for the first look I chose this Cycle Print Bow Tie Chiffon dress which I used to create a boho chick look. I teamed the dress with a floppy hat (River Island), long grey cardigan (Pull & Bear), Maroccan handbag, green cowboy boots (Deichmann) and white patterned socks (Primark).

Spring – Summer trends at London Fashion Weekend

It’s spring!!! Well, at least in the calendar… But this miserable London weather cannot stand in a way of SS14 hottest trends that will be appearing in my and probably your wardrobes.

So I and my friend Juste have bought the Silver ticket to London Fashion Weekend and Trend catwalk to see what’s the deal. We were well excited! Ha! It was quite a good show I have to say. Four main trends were presented on the catwalk and here are my best pictures representing all of them. We couldn’t sit in the FROW so forgive me for protruding heads at the bottom of some pictures ūüėÄ

London Fashion Week – Street style

So I went to Somerset House on the very first day of London Fashion Week and I couldn’t have chosen the worse time to do so… It was windy and raining non-stop (what a surprise, London!!) and, therefore, there were not that many people around, which was quite disappointing.. Anyway, I did what I came to do, and that was to take some style snaps!

Here you go!

Fashion photoshoot. Part 2.

So here it is, the second part of my fashion shoot with Joanna Reich. The pictures are all similar in this post but they are my favourite ones so I crammed them all in for you to judge. This time I am wearing the same bleached denim shorts as in the last post, but I tried to create a different look by wearing the slouchy H&M sweater and studded high-top wedge sneakers. I found these shoes on eBay and I fell in love with the leopard print (which is starting to dominate in my wardrobe) and studs so I had to have them. I have never bought any clothes or footwear online before, so I was a bit terrified they (and other 2 pairs of shoes I bought on the same shopping spree) might not fit me, but they did! All of them! Sometimes a girl has to take a risk in order to get more original design. ūüôā¬†IMG_0117 IMG_0118IMG_0080

New cool shopping gem in London

So, finally, the day had come! We have a new and hip shopping place to visit! Yey! (We can never have enough of those, right??)¬†& Other Stories, a new label under the H&M‘s umbrella, opened the doors in Regent Street on Friday.¬†

The first thing that caught my attention was the design of the store. It felt quite sophisticated but creative at the same time. Quite minimalistic interior design, with a dominating white colour and many wooden as well as glass elements. Huge white staircase in the middle of the store creates kind of a classy feeling which makes our shopping even more enjoyable. And you can’t help but notice stage lights attached to the ceiling across the whole store. Anybody said ‘Cool’?

A few hours after official opening, the two-floor shop was buzzing with stylish fashionistas and, I had a feeling, there were some important fashion people wondering around and judging a new shopping gem too.

OK, so what is this new shop about?

It is something between East London meets modern classic meets new season trends. But it’s really about mixing and matching different pieces and creating your own unique look. Modern cuts and unusual garments differentiate¬†& Other Stories¬†from other high-street stores. I was particularly impressed with an edgy jewellery designs and footwear. Mostly In metallic or black colours, the shoes have the most creative designs I have ever seen (pictures below). East London hipsters will have a place to shop in Central London for sure. And let’s not forget a huge amount of make-up and beauty products available. The prices are also affordable for all of us who can’t really stock up on Chanel just yet..

So let’s get shopping!

London Fashion Week Street Style. Part 2.

Here are some more snaps from London Fashion Week at Somerset House. London never fails to surprise me with the amount of creativity and craziness possessed by our young and creative generation. It seams like every person who is related to fashion in one or another way went completely bonkers (in a good way) to express their individuality and showcase their style, designs and personality. Somerset court yard was even more colourful and eccentric than Camden on the weekends or Soho during Gay pride. But that’s the way it should be. Fashion Week is there to celebrate the new fashion and discover new talents so let’s celebrate it properly. Fashion industry was never meant for shy and modest.
