Spring – Summer trends at London Fashion Weekend

It’s spring!!! Well, at least in the calendar… But this miserable London weather cannot stand in a way of SS14 hottest trends that will be appearing in my and probably your wardrobes.

So I and my friend Juste have bought the Silver ticket to London Fashion Weekend and Trend catwalk to see what’s the deal. We were well excited! Ha! It was quite a good show I have to say. Four main trends were presented on the catwalk and here are my best pictures representing all of them. We couldn’t sit in the FROW so forgive me for protruding heads at the bottom of some pictures 😀

London Fashion Week – Street style

So I went to Somerset House on the very first day of London Fashion Week and I couldn’t have chosen the worse time to do so… It was windy and raining non-stop (what a surprise, London!!) and, therefore, there were not that many people around, which was quite disappointing.. Anyway, I did what I came to do, and that was to take some style snaps!

Here you go!

Can you be too trendy??

Hello!

Happy Valentine’s day everyone!!!

It’s been a while but I’m back and I missed my little blog!! Also, i’m very excited as tomorrow starts London Fashion Week! A little heaven for all fashionistas 🙂 Well, I have to admit I don’t have any invitations and I’m not going to sit at the FROW, but that does not mean I can’t go there and enjoy! I’ll try to snap some pictures as well! Maybe sneak into a show??? 😉

So here is a little topic to think about before the fashion world gets all crazy: Can you be too trendy??

So… I love fashion to death but I still think you need to be clever about it…

I was on the tube the other day and I saw a girl who was dressed up in all the latest fashions and toped up with long hair extensions. Clothes were nice and trendy; she was like a poster girl for High Street shopping. However… something was missing… That little touch of personality, a little twist and personalisation maybe??

Favourite A/W12 trends

Hello and sorry for being away for so long.. But now I am back and ready to review what is happening in the fashion world. To be honest, I am quite happy and excited with the turn the A/W collections took this cold season. There are quite a few new trends as you probably already noticed on the High Street, but I chose my favourite 4 I am most excited about.

OVERSIZE

Those oversized coats are somehow very attractive and can provide a cool edge to casual or office-smart outfit. I have snapped up mine from Topshop a few days ago!

My new coat from Topshop!

Topshop

Jil Sanders

Celine

Team up with skinny jeans, cropped trousers or wear over the shorts and skirts for a maximum effect.

Gothic & Leather

My personal favourite trend this season! I always was a leather jacket girl and now leather featuring all collections I feel like a child in a sand box. There are leather trousers, leather collars, jackets and dresses that are perfect to create a gothic look which was so popular on the catwalks for A/W12. Also, STUDS! My another biggest obsession which started long ago but now it gets released! Think gothic make-up and dark lips for evening look.

Versace

Gyvenchy

Salvatore Ferragamo

Topshop

River Island

Military

Create a power look with a military trend with cool khakis, leather and tailoring.

Topshop

Max Mara, Victoria Beckham, Burberry

Asos

Optical Prints

Summer is over but prints are staying in our wardrobes to lift up our spirits during those dark and rainy winter days. Optical prints are seen on new and hot trouser suits (office wear do not have to be boring), dresses, bags and coats. My catwalk favourite is definitely Prada. And for those who cannot afford to break a bank Next offers very close alternative.

Next

Mary Katrantzou

Kenzo

With these trends dominating the high street, there is no excuse for dull and dark winter, so style up and enjoy!
